The Keynes family donated the the land where the original Logan City Pool was constructed from 1937-1938 during the Public Words era. William W. Keynes and family made sure the pool was taken care of over the years contributing to remodels and upkeep of the facility. Without the support of him the pool would not have been able to stay open for 81 years providing enjoyment to local families and a place where countless children learned to swim.
In 2018 the community supported a levy to build a new facility. The Logan Family Aquatics Center was finished in 2020. Mr. Keynes was able to visit the new facility and was very proud of the legacy his family had started and all it would mean to future generations.
Mr. Keynes passed away in 2022. To honor his life long commitment to our community our swim team was name in honor of him "HurriCANES". HIs two sons Billy and Charlie continue to support the pool and our swim team.
We are honored to have the continued support of William W. Keynes family and we hope to make them all proud in his memory.
